Job description
The primary purpose will be
- To work alongside with the Data Migration Global Tech Programme Manager in delivering the migration activities of massive data for significant applications
- The Data Migration Tech Lead/Architect will support the data migration of around 70-80 applications to enable delivery of an Openbanking platform for strategic internal and external clients. They will be accountable for making assessments, analysis, designs and delivery of how to migrate data from core banking database to new places
In this role, you will:
- Work with internal and external stakeholders in gathering business requirements for data migration needs.
- Perform source system data analysis in order to manage source to target data mapping.
- Design and develop the data migration plan and lead the delivery of the data migration projects
- Perform migration and testing of static data and transaction data from one core system to another
- Work collaboratively with Operations, consultants, delivery partners and subject matter experts in gathering, translating and clarifying requirements and defining design options
- Collaborate closely with Technology counterparts and software vendors to implement the requirements, provide necessary guidance during QA process
Requirements
- To be successful in this role you should meet the following:
- Technically strong with data migration from DB2 to other database (the tech lead will be able to evaluate what type of database fits the project best and further manage related vendors)
- OpenAPI development experience is a big plus
- Excellent client facing skills, with experience of managing client relationships either external clients or internal stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese
