A leading insurance company is hiring a Developer. You will support IT projects, including the design and deployment of existing IT systems and services, and ensure the sustainability of all IT applications.

Job Responsibilities:

• Act as a subject matter expert to provide technical advice and support the development of Insurance related system
• Active participant in all IT transformation programs and follow IT governance model, to ensure change management within the organization.
• Participate in business process/department/functional group activities within the respective area on regular basis to understand business needs and challenges to help facilitate improvements and reuse any existing IT components
• Responsible for Quality Assurance
  • Quality documentation (i.e. UAT Test Plan, UAT Test Script/Scenario, UAT sign off)
  • Testing and validation
• System Development
  • Estimating level of effort
  • Technical documentation
  • Technical maintenance
  • Performance monitoring and optimization
  • Program coding
• Perform user support, training, and cross team knowledge transfer where appropriate
• Evaluate impacts and escalate issues and risk appropriately
• Measure and monitor all well-defined service metrics and KPI

Technical skills required but not limited to:

• Operating Systems: Unix, Linus, Windows
• Application Development: Java, Visual C#.NET, Shell script, Struts, SOAP, Restful Web Services, Mulesoft, JSON, JQuery
• Database Development: Oracle PL/SQL, SQL Plus, MS SQL, SQL Programming and SSIS, MySQL
• Reporting & BI: Jasper Report/iReport, Crystal Report, Fine Report
• Printing: SIP, Quadient/GMC
• Knowledge in Salesforce, Tomcat, Apache is an advantage

Requirement:

• Higher diploma holder or above in an IT-related discipline
• At least 1 year relevant working experience
• Insurance experience in New Business, Underwriting, Policy Administration, Agency / Distribution channel is an advantage
• Familiar working in a Scrum team and DevSecOps
• Assist in system design and analysis with hands-on development and implementation
• Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools
• Experience with systems and IT operations
• Being comfortable with frequent, incremental code testing and deployment
• Self-motivated with the ability to effectively prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong collaboration and facilitation skills
• Strong communicator. Fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English
