Job description

Responsibilities

• Accelerate the pace of cloud transformation from financial perspective, promote continuous improvement, drive fast feedback, and accelerate the adaptation to change.
• Actively works with the financial solution leaders and business stakeholders (Actuarial, Accounting & Investment) to create user stories and facilitates decisions made by the business stakeholders (based on business value and technical input) about what features and functionality to build and the order in which to build them.
• Drive financial cloud transformation concepts and engineering patterns into development teams to keep systems operating effectively.
• Work for the engineering team to help them perform at the highest level by protecting the team from both internal and external distractions so they can focus on priority change and initiatives.


Project Planning:
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Develop a comprehensive project plan, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget estimation.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Establish clear project objectives and success criteria.

Project Execution:
• Lead and manage cross-functional project teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
• Monitor project progress, track milestones, and take corrective actions as necessary.
• Manage project resources, including assigning tasks, coordinating activities, and resolving conflicts.
• Conduct regular project status meetings and provide timely updates to stakeholders.

Budget and Resource Management:
• Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring adherence to financial constraints.
• Allocate resources efficiently, considering skill sets, availability, and project requirements.
• Monitor project expenses and implement cost control measures.

Risk and Issue Management:
Identify and assess project risks and issues.
• Develop risk mitigation and issue resolution strategies.
• Proactively manage risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle.

Stakeholder Management:
• Engage and communicate with stakeholders at various levels, including executives, business users, and IT teams.
• Set and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather project requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.

Change Management:
• Identify and manage project scope changes.
• Assess the impact of changes on project timelines, resources, and budget.
• Develop change management strategies in collaboration with stakeholders.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Proven experience as a Project Manager in the insurance industry, specifically within IT projects.
• Solid understanding of insurance business processes and systems.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices (e.g., Agile)
• Experience with project management tools and software.
• Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal,  analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• PMP or PRINCE2 certification is a plus.
