Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Release Manager to drive and oversee the end-to-end software release processes. We are undergoing a massive system revamp programme globally to replace legacy systems with web-based and SaaS solutions. As a Release Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering all software releases while ensuring alignment with project timelines, business objectives and quality standards. Your expertise in release management will enable smooth transitions, mitigate risks, and optimize the overall delivery lifecycle.

Role Overview:

• Manage and coordinate the software release process from initiation to deployment, ensuring adherence to best practices and established release policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, QA, and operations, to define release requirements, dependencies, and schedules.
• Plan, schedule, and prioritize releases according to release calendars, business priorities, and resource availability.
• Conduct impact assessments and risk analyses to anticipate potential issues or bottlenecks, proactively providing recommendations and mitigation strategies.
• Facilitate effective communication and coordination among stakeholders, ensuring timely dissemination of release-related information, status updates, and change notifications.
• Serve as the primary liaison between development teams, applying a continuous improvement mindset to enhance release processes and optimize delivery efficiency.
• Identify opportunities to automate release activities, reduce manual effort, and enhance overall release quality.
• Implement and maintain release management tools, environments, and workflows, ensuring they are up to date and aligned with industry best practices.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving release-related incidents, identifying root causes, and implementing preventive actions.
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in release management, contributing to the team's professional growth and knowledge sharing.

  Ideal Profile:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven track record of at least 8 years in release management or a related role within the software development life cycle, preferably in the luxury fashion industry.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies, release processes, and version control systems.
• Experience with release management tools, such as Jira, DevOps, or similar.
• Broad knowledge of QA and testing frameworks, automated testing, and continuous integration/delivery pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks, mitigate issues, and drive effective resolutions.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with exceptional project management skills.
• Strong communicator, with excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate across diverse teams and effectively relay complex information.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
